It was the look that Kim was wearing for most of her interviews (one on one with the camera. It was deep burgandy but really shimmery looking. Please tell us, or do a video of the look!! Also, in the Part one video you mention NC30 powder, but the powder you were using had a clear lid. What type of MAC powder was it? I can't find NC30 with a clear lid.

Hi Kim, (and the rest of the fans reading!)

Loving the videos so much - even on stupid dial up and it takes hours to downloand but I don't even care - it's soooo worth it!

I'm no makeup artist, but I would liek to share one of my best tips with you guys that works for me personally. I know it goes against the order of how everyone says you should do it... but again, this totally works for me and it may or may not work for you. Since telling all my friends and colleagues about it, they love it, and now they have all changed their routine.

The thing that I do is: Instead of starting with foundation, then concealer, then powder, and THEN onto the eyes.... I start from a clean moisturised face, and do the EYES first, and do the face next, and then lips last.

Reasons being?

... Well, I quite often find that if I am pushed for time trying to get ready (especially for work in the mornings), I would have all my face done perfectly, but then in my rush to get my eyes done, I'd end up dropping my mascara wand on my cheek! Or blink and end up with gobs of mascara under my eye! Or even if I didn't make a mistake, sometimes I'd lean my hand on my cheek to get the eyeliner perfect, and it would smudge my nice foundation, (even with powder on!).

So NOW, I do my eyes first, and if any mistakes happen, then I can just wipe them away with a makeup remover wipe, or a non-scented baby wipe (cheaper and work perfectly! Great for sensitive skin!). Then I can do my faoundation, concealer, blush and powder and no worry of having to fix it or redo it if I get eye make up on it!

This may sound crazy to do it in a reverse order... but it works like a charm for me. Maybe just because I'm clumsy? Maybe most of you wouldn't ever make the mistakes like I sometimes do... haha!

I still wear shimmer on my brow bone too! LOL Oh well. I like to play around with makeup, but the smokey eye is too much work for me. Applying foundation and concealer is also too much for me. I like to keep it light simple and fun. Kim you are a very good person for doing this for the fans that have been requesting it. I hope everybody appreciates it. Steven is very talented!

Your make-up video is wonderful. You must really love your fans. Your eye make-up must be so easy to do because you have really big eye lids :) your eyes are perfect for eye shadow. I have nice size eye lids but my eyes are small :( I love make-up, my only problem is that I never feel like applying it anymore. I used to wear it everyday & I would always recieve compliments on how good I it was. People would actually ask ME for tips. But lately, since I started college I havent been applying it like I used to. Even when I do it doesnt look the way it used to :( After watching your vid. Im going to try your techniques.

Did you line the entire eye or just the bottom?

I have always loved the smokey eye look but can't get away with it since my lids are really small and anytime I apply eyeshadow it kind of disappears when I open my eyes, LOL. But I love the look on you because of you have very big eyes. I love it, my daughter has huge eyes and long eyelashes and I always tell how she is lucky to have those eyes! Love ya.

I never got why people put their eyeshadow all the way up to the brow bone. But, when I did my cousins makeup a couple of months ago, I did the shadow that way to see what the fuss is all about. I didnt put that much on the brow bone because I didnt want to make her look like a loser (lol). I can't wait to see the next video.

Hey Kim, (and everyone else)

This looks is really nice. I'm a MAC artist and a lot of the tips and tricks you see in these videos are suggestions your local MAC artist might pass onto you. Using fluffy vs. flat brushes for things like concealer, cream shadows, liquid cheek highlighters, basically any liquid product, is a great way to get a soft focus look to that specific part of your face.

I also use the 180 to apply the liquid foundation. Unlike Kim's artist, I dot the foundation on my face, take my 180, and kinda stipple the foundation all over that area before I start buffing in circular motions and blending it into my jaw, neck, and hairline. I definitely think more people should use flat top kabuki brushes for liquid foundation. They're not just for powder girls!

Here's a tip to get your eyeliner SMUDGE AND BUDGE PROOF: Take your pencil liner and dip it into your gel/cream liner of choice. Then apply it to your waterline. I do this with my MAC Smolder pencil liner and my Blacktrack Fluidline. I'm talking bullet proof staying power here, ladies. LOL Trust me!

I also LOVE tightlining! Makes lashes look thicker without even mascara. You basically take a pencil liner or an eyeliner brush with gel liner on it and apply it to the underside of your upper lashline in between the lashes.

I hope you read this, Kim! And to everyone else, I hope these little tips helped you out. :D

hey the EYE SHADOWS ARE ALL FROM MAC!
it's a pellet and you just buy the eye shadows for the pellet! it's also cheaper and easier since you choose your colors and there all in one! Rather than having to open and look for the others theys sell that are like $16..

Wow nobody here must wear makeup because everyone is clueless! First off you don't need a kabuki brush to put on foundation, you can just buy a regular foundation brush and a blush brush for putting on blush also.

As far as the eyeshadows he used Mac, which I thought was more than obvious.

Btw EVERYONE puts a brow highlight on the brow bone kim, ask any makeup artist and they suggest it. It's weird not to as long as its not overdone.

Wow seriously no one listens! He clearly said MAC Bare Canvas paint. Then he used MAC Contrast shadow with the MAC 217 brush. Her eyeliner was from Stila then he used a pencil brush (like the 219) to smudge. Open your ears.

He used #155 which is Medium Beige. But he also said that it is not available at Sephora, they only carry the Liquid Lift and they have different shade numbers. A Medium Beige in that is #04

Kim, I always have so much trouble with putting black eyeliner in my eye. It never stays!! I have tried the pencil by make up forever, but it didn't work. I am going to try stilla'a black pencil, but do you have any other ideas??? Thanks...

Soe I wouldn't follow the blush tip in the video...rubbing it on a CD??? That's just strange. I would suggest trying the blush by NARS called Orgasm. They sell it in sephora and it's been the number 1 blush for years. Kourtney Kardashian uses it. Of course buy a blush brush to apply it.

I'm sorry, I don't know the shade Kim uses in the MUFE HD foundation. She looks like an NC30-35 in MAC foundations, but I could be wrong. And she says she likes to use colors just a bit darker than her skin tone and blend it into her neck for a more tan skin tone.

PSS- Don't rag on people who don't know much about makeup. They watched this video for a reason, and they obviously learned something. How else are they supposed to learn if not by practice and watching other people? Also, there isn't just ONE type of brush people need to use for foundation, eye shadow, whatever. Different brushes give different finishes and can make a huge difference in the result of a look one is trying to achieve.

The reason he rubbed the cream blush on the CD is because he was substituting the CD for an artist's palette. He rubbed some on the CD and then used his brush to pick up some of the color, rather than just directly taking it from the product itself. This lets you control how much you use and not go overboard.

I think you would really like to see the MANY ways you can get your makeup to look like the way you put it on but with less money! Its a lot of fun to watch!! My favorite is a girl from England named Lauren Luke; I think she goes by Panacea81...check her out!!
